Just what I was looking for!Feb 22, 2010
By K. Winter This is exactly the product I was looking for. I didn't need all the bells and whistles of more expensive Caller IDs. It's easy to use. The print is big enough to read, it flashes for a missed call. I would recommend this to others.

Retro Caller IDDec 02, 2010
By M. R. Webber This is a retro caller id box but just what I needed, and at the right price, to mate up with an existing non caller id phone. Good features, does what it's supposed to. easy to install & set up

Good choice for basic vanilla caller-idNov 11, 2010
By Mark Twain I was looking for a basic caller-id box with power supply (didn't want to use batteries). I bought two of these about two months ago and have had no problems.

Just what my 80-plus-year-old parents wanted...Jun 24, 2010
By ecc.sd Older parents can be resistant to change, so it is no small feat for me to have activated recently the talking caller-ID/call-waiting/answering machine on my parents' Panasonic cordless system in the US - which they had received as a gift from my brother several years ago! Unfortunately the caller ID display on the handset is far too small (even for me) to read - aside from being totally impractical for call-waiting purposes as you'd have to remove the handset from your ear to see who's trying to butt in - so I did a quick search and bought two of these separate caller ID/CW units from an Amazon Marketplace merchant. I installed one next to the Panasonic, and the other next to the phone in my parents' main hallway upstairs, without having to replace any of their existing telephones. And though change can be hard sometimes, my parents are now really happy with the new set-up!
As for the unit itself, it seemed a bit difficult to erase an entry - also I was not able to change the lighting contrast according to the instruction booklet. But the default lighting contrast is fine, and the unit "as is" serves the purpose for my parents. And you certainly can't beat the price (just under $3) from the Amazon Marketplace merchant, such that I even splurged and opted for expedited shipping!

Good Record of all CallsSep 06, 2011

This box works better than the built-in versions on wireless phones. It captures more information and is much easier to retrieve and read.
